Originally from Buffalo, NY, Jeanne graduated from the State College with a B.S. degree in Art Education, moving to Boston shortly after. She taught art in New York and Massachusetts public schools. After attending Mass College of Art and The Boston Museum School she became a member of Kaji Aso Studio.
Jeanne teaches watercolor, pastel, experimental pastel and ceramics. Her work in clay includes pottery, and sculptural forms. Jeanne's Tea Bowls are often used in Japanese Tea Ceremony at The Studio.
Recently the artist was invited to serve as judge for the West Roxury Art Association, Newton Art Association and Plymouth Art Guild. She also conducted a seminar on Pastel at Bentley College in February, 2009.
International Exhibitions include: Italy (Siena, Padua, Venice); Japan (Sinjuku, Tokyo); UK, London ; colleges and galleries in New York and Massachusetts.
Currently she exhibits her work at Gallery Nature & Temptation and serves as Trustee, Ceramic Chair and Instructor (www.kajiasostudio.com).
She is also on the faculties of Newton Community Education (www.newtoncommunityed.org), and the New Art Center, Newtonville (www.newartcenter.org).
